Becca needs someone to help her overcome her issues and stop getting hung up on every little detail, and a guy to stop any associations with her mother. Dante needs to act as a voice of reason, to work with stern, tough love. He won't be afraid to try and manipulate her if he thinks it will help her in the end. Becca wants other people to hurt because she's hurting, which as an Allos he isn't totally against, but Becca's desire was to be better and so he'll try to break her of that. Dante will give positive reinforcement for the things she does do right, but will do what he can to stop that from going to her head. When she's arguing with others he'll show up to deflate her and try to let her know what she's doing wrong, show her what she's not seeing. He can be nice, and he will want to get along with her, but being a friend wasn't the reason he was called. He's kind of like the sassy gay friend, look at your life Becca, look at your choices.
